Well I thought I would write my last blog for the year of 2015, I hope you have enjoyed reading my findings and experiences as much as I have enjoyed writing and sharing the info. I have signed up for Joe Cross's 5 day reboot starting in January but I reckon I may have already started my own reboot by then anyway, I got through Christmas without too much collateral damage to my health and weight, and I couldn't decide until about 10 minutes ago whether I would have an alcoholic drink ( Sambuca) or if I would have a smoothie for my evening meal, it is new years eve after all so I decided on the Sambuca, but I have all the juices prepared in the fridge ready to kick start 2016 in the right way. I saw on Facebook today that Joe Cross is back in Sydney and was shopping for produce for his new years juices, he actually gave up the alcohol all together, when he got his health back, but I have the occasional break out ha ha.
I have actually thought of combining my occasional alcohol break outs with my juices but not sure how Sambuca would go with a mean green. This year I won't be making a new years resolution, making Statements to the world to lose weight, exercise more blah blah blah, only puts pressure on yourself to carry them through, and when you don't you feel bad. Instead I am just going to keep doing what I have been doing which is not depriving myself of anything I want, keeping a close eye on my Blood Glucose Levels, and staying positive in knowing I have finally taken control of my health, I like having the juice instead of solid meals, so for me, I don't have to make any declarations, I just do as Joe Cross says and "Juice On" I hope you have found what works for you too. With so much going on tonight (ha ha not really) I am finding it hard to think of anything really profound to write about, so I will keep this post really short, I just want to wish my followers a very happy new year and hope 2016 brings you all the happiness and health that you all deserve, I hope that in some small way I have inspired you to have a go, because it doesn't matter how many times you try to do right by your body, it only matters that you keep on keeping on!

Officially today is Christmas Day, but due to family commitments we had our Christmas Day yesterday with all the family and it was a great day, I wish everyone a very merry Christmas and hope you are as fortunate as I was to spend it with your family, oh and try not to overeat, I know I didn't hold back yesterday, I had spent 3 days in the kitchen cooking all the lovely sugar free treats (because I care about my families health) and I was going to allow myself to eat whatever I wanted on the day, but as usual I made way too much food, and feel I overate. I think we are all a little more educated these days, on food, eating to live not living to eat, I was so impressed with my family all making the effort to get healthy and my sister in-law and brother in-law getting into the juicing, not going the full Monty, but are really looking into the nutrient based smoothies as a supplement to their diets, not everyone needs to lose weight, some people just want to feel more energized (like my cousin Helen) and healthier, (except my eldest who claims "hell no" I'm not sugar free! ha ha, but she did make the sugar free custard for our dinner?) I say give it time, it takes some people longer for the penny to drop. My recent trip to Sydney to watch my new favourite Big Bash team "Thunder" I did gain some weight, a little over 2 kilo's to be exact but I just thought I would juice for 4 days before our big Christmas dinner, and in 4 days I lost 4.6 kilos so I was over the moon with the results for sure and I suppose that is why I allowed myself some freedom yesterday and didn't feel guilty, although I was a little too scared to weigh myself today, I will be sensible today and see what happens tomorrow. It since going so hard on the juice fasting my stomach doesn't feel so great after eating lots of food, so I am glad Christmas only comes once a year. You could do as I have and sign up for Joe's 5 day juice challenge. I am always interested in improving or learning something new about how I can be the healthiest version of myself, I believe I have today made the best choices for myself and my family and some things I know now I wish I knew before I had any of the issues I have faced in the last 21 years, it is funny but that is how long since I have had a cigarette, that is the first good move I made for myself, and I couldn't see my health actually going down hill from there, but it did (and no it is not because I stopped smoking ha ha), but most people say with most situations, it will get worse before it gets better, like an alcoholic, they will hit rock bottom before they realize there is a problem. The doctors made me aware that I had health issues and I did occasionally glance sideways in a mirror as I passed so I knew I had weight problems that were actually getting worse even with or should I say? because of the advice of the medical profession. Yesterday I had a discussion with my sister in-law about infusion juicing, they have been trying, this made some good sense to me, but I did have questions, so I turned to my "juice guru" Joe Cross for the answers, and I feel that for my health and weight loss I would prefer to stick to the "Juicing" against going full on "blending"(Smoothies) don't get me wrong I love to have a smoothie at least once a day now (it started as one a week ha ha "the Sunday Roast") and to make my one a day smoothie I use a mean green juice and add an avocado and banana to the blender and it is the most satisfying drink keeps you satiated for hours. Below is some info I found on Joe Cross's site, but as my Sister in-law said "if juicing works for you stick to it" and the juicing has definitely worked for me and is still working as I got the desired results in just 4 days. :-) Juicing vs. Blending: Everything You Need to Know By: Joe Cross One of the most common questions people ask me is “Joe, what is the difference between juicing and blending?” Now, you might think the difference is obvious – but it turns out there’s a lot of confusion about the two, and many people believe they are juicing when in fact they are blending. So, let’s clear things up! When juicing, the machine extracts the juice (this is the water and most of the nutrients the produce contains), leaving behind the pulp. When blending, there is no left-over pulp. Blenders pulverize the whole produce to make a smoothie. What can make this confusing is that these machines all use different names. If you see the term “Nutrition Extractor™”, for example, how do you know if you are juicing or blending? Simply ask yourself the question: is the machine removing the pulp? If not, it’s not juicing! But Joe, which one is better? The short answer is, I love both. I look at it this way: we all need plenty of fresh vegetables and fruit in our diet, whether we eat, juice, or blend them. They are nutrient dense powerhouses, and however we choose to take them in – it’s all good! Juicing and blending are both great ways to include a lot of produce in our diet, and also to consume a greater variety than we may otherwise eat. But they are different and it is important to understand why. When you juice you are removing the insoluble fiber – the pulp. Don’t get me wrong. Fiber is good for you. It keeps your digestive tract healthy and it slows down the absorption of sugar. But it also slows down the absorption of nutrients and some nutrients stay in the fiber. When you juice, you are extracting up to 70% of the nutrition right into your glass1, and without the insoluble fiber your body absorbs 100% of these nutrients. Take a look at the ingredients you use next time you make a Mean Green juice for example, and imagine eating that as a huge bowl of salad at every meal – you’d be chewing all day! Even in smoothie, that’s a lot of produce to consume. Still concerned about fiber? One of our Reboot nutritionists, Claire, has written a great post explaining the facts about fiber and juicing. On a Reboot, which is best? You have two options when selecting a Reboot plan: juice only, or juice plus eating an exclusively fruit and vegetable diet. Both are great, and which you choose will depend on your goals and your current state of health. If you are Rebooting for health reasons, or have modest weight loss goals, an eating Reboot may be a better option. However, if you are Rebooting because you have moderate to high weight loss goals, a juicing Reboot is a better option. When you juice only, you tend to lose weight more rapidly. I’m frequently asked “Can I use my blender/Vitamix/NutriBullet on a Reboot?” You can, but if you do so you are doing an ‘eating’ Reboot: the plan you follow will be different, the juice recipes will need to be modified (they are a created for a juicer!), and the results you see may also be different. Still confused? Watch me make a juice and a smoothie in the Reboot Kitchen. You’ll see what the difference is! Watch Joe explain And to further help you understand the differences between juicing and blending we’ve put together the following Juicing Vs. Blending Infographic. Here’s a sneak peak (click on the image to see it in its entirety!). If you want to learn even more about juicing and blending, I’ve partnered with MindBodyGreen to create an in-depth video course: A Complete Guide to Juicing and Blending.

The film ignited a juicing movement. Viewers around the world have been inspired to start juicing, lose weight and get healthy - and as a result of the film over 370 million glasses of fresh juice have been consumed, 370,000 tons of fruit and vegetables consumed, more than 24.8 million pounds of weight lost, and over 220,000 people are now medication free. Joe's second film, Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead 2 was released in November 2014. Through his journey and the lives of the people he meets throughout the film Joe shares all that he's learned about how to stay healthy in an unhealthy world, revealing that most of us really do have more control over of our health than we think - and that none of us are perfect, especially Joe himself! His book, The Reboot with Joe Juice Diet, hit the New York Times' best seller list in March 2014, and the companion guide The Reboot with Joe Juice Diet Cookbook launched that summer. What will you choose "Juice or Smoothie"? ,Do you fall off the wagon accidentally (on purpose) feel guilty for a short while and then think, it was too hard being in control and sticking to your healthy eating regime? Or are you like me and choose to jump off the wagon for short periods, so you can allow yourself to eat, drink and be merry (have a holiday from your health regime)? Well that is what I do!, but I still have a certain amount of control, recently (the last 3 days) I went to Sydney to see the cricket and although I took fresh vegetable juices with me in an esky and went to Boost juice each morning for my "pure Eden" juice, I loosened the reigns and had some nice meals, I still chose to eat low carb, and not have rice, pasta, chips or bread, that has become the norm for me now anyway, knowing the affect on my Blood Glucose levels I would rather not eat the carbs, but it is relatively easy to stay low carb when staying in China Town, they tend to cook a bit healthier (be careful though, they love to add sugar)and what ever dish you order you just say "no rice or no noodles" at home when ordering meals at the club or cafe's it is "no chips" (they love to pile the chips on) I wish it was that easy to keep my weight down though, for a start when at home I try to keep all my eating within a 8 hour period (Intermittent Fasting) recommended by a lot of my health gurus, but this was another thing I disregarded "while in the holidaying spirit" I refrained from eating any junk foods at the "Spotless Stadium" and there was an abundance of it, thankfully it didn't smell good at all to me, so I wasn't tempted, but by the time we got back to Haymarket, it was nearly midnight and we thought we would have something to eat, and that is the good thing (or should I say bad thing) about China Town you can eat into the early hours.
All in all I have done a lot of eating and drinking in the last 3 days, that I estimate will take me 6 days to bounce back from, but I am so eager to get back to my juice only days and back on the wagon, Christmas day is only 6 days away but we will be having our Christmas on "Christmas Eve" this year, but as I am "Chief cook and bottle washer" I will be in control of not only what I eat but what everyone else eats. ["the Sugar Nazi is in control"] I am aiming at having the healthiest Christmas lunch we can, I have already let my hair down so I don't have to on Christmas day, and I have been looking at low carb, sugar free recipes for weeks now, and think the effort to prepare some real food and keeping it healthy will be more than worth it (that if it all goes to plan ha ha) and I wont have to jump off the wagon again. Thanks to the new subscribers to my blog, it is nice to know that I have people following my posts and if I have helped anyone in anyway to take control of their health by something that has worked for me, then I am happy to "keep on keeping on" . Home | Blog | Plans | Recipes | Community | Store | Contact Us Detoxing and Cleansing to me are buzz words, well they were until I went on my 28 day fast, and I actually felt cleansed and toxin free? so I guess you shouldn't knock it until you have tried it. I actually feel like my insides are cleaner! and one of things that changed in me besides losing weight and getting my medical numbers correct, was my sleeping patterns, it has changed (for the better)! for years I had been in a bad cycle of staying up to the wee hours of the morning and then not rising before 10 am the next day, and because my diabetes was out of wack , even on the medication, I never felt like I had any sleep at all, these days I wake up energized ready to start a new day, I am still not quiet sure how things work that early in the day but I am getting there. I have to say that I like feeling cleaner on the inside, and these days if I crave anything! I crave vegetable juice, on the days that I decide I will eat, I find it very hard to decide what it is that I want to eat. When I was on the 28 day fast I did crave eggs of all things, perhaps my body was saying it needed some B12, in fact if you were to give up eating and just juiced, "Turned Vegan" you would have to supplement your diet with B12, it is about the only thing you can't get from a good supply of vegetables, my doctor said he would be concerned about my calcium intake but here is a little chart of the vegetables that you get calcium from... I am surprised that my doctor didn't know that I could still get enough calcium from my vegetable juices, another reason why you should have more vegetables than fruit in your juice, I have Kale everyday and Broccoli and Brussels sprouts occasionally in my juices. But on the whole I didn't feel like I was lacking anything while on the 28 day fast, and I felt the best I have felt in about 20 years, and I am sure that I was also consuming more vegetable than I had ever consumed in those 20 year, I feel like a prospector that has just found gold, I have found the key to unlock my inner health. I am sure everyone knows you have to vegetables in your diet, but no one is actually eating enough vegetables to get all the nutrients that the body needs, you can how ever juice a whole bunch of kale and drink it and your body will absorb all the nutrients, but I challenge you to sit down to a meal with a whole bunch of Kale on your plate, if you cook the kale then you lose most of the nutrients through heat, and if you attempt to eat a whole bunch of kale raw in one sitting I doubt you could finish it. Another thing I have noticed lately is that I am wanting to spring clean my life and rid myself of everything I have hoarded over the last 20 years, I feel like I have a new lease on life and don't need stuff! Having said that, I still would rather give my stuff away than throw my stuff away, (to give is good for the soul) and a few weeks ago I cleaned the wardrobe out of all my fat clothes, that felt good, and I have started to go through other areas of the house, the kitchen cupboards had a big clean up a few weeks ago, could probably do round two and not miss anything, ha ha the main things getting used in the kitchen these days are the juicer and blender, so as long as I have those I can live without the rest, ha ha. I have moved onto other parts of the house that are a little harder to detox, somethings have to be pried out of my hands, and I seem to have made more mess with my piles of Keep, sort, give away, and throw away, and it looks like it is going to be a long process, but I know I am going to feel better when I am done. We all like our comfort zones and are very reluctant to give up anything we have become accustomed to, whether it be our favourite food, or a favourite toy from 50 years ago, or something someone you liked gave you (you have to keep that for the sentiment?) or just material things that you feel you need in your life. The first thing I had to give up that I loved was Chocolate and Ice Cream, (those two were my Achilles heal) and I don't miss it at all, haven't had ice cream for over 3 years now, (often wonder if I was still working at the ice creamery would I have still given up ice cream so easily?) We all have comfort foods, but when our comfort foods stop us from feeling comfortable in our own skins that is when it is time to detox and cleanse our bodies, take control of your health and how you feel, but why stop there detox and cleanse your life of "stuff"! make your comfort zone as clean as your insides are after a detox! Well it is obvious to me that Christmas is not the time of year for the health conscience, I just looked at a really big Christmas hamper to win :-( and there was not one thing in the hamper that I would eat or drink or give to my family and friends without feeling incredibly guilty, there was a box of bon bons but the toy inside would probably be really small and therefore a choking hazard for my grandsons, so you guessed it I won't be entering said competition. Should you throw all caution to the wind because one day of the year you can be Henry the 8th and gorge yourself silly, because it is Christmas? I have found that when I started to juice fast, I would think of all the things i would have when the fast was finished, (this is probably how we go back to our old habits after a diet) and when I allowed myself to eat, I had the foods I thought about, but I didn't enjoy them like I thought I would, in fact after the 28 days of juicing it up, I craved the juices and not the solid foods, so it has been easy and more satisfying to me to keep juicing, I am more particular about what I eat these days, I try out new recipes but they are always sugar free and toxic oil free! I taste test those as well, I do avoid carbs like the plague though, as with my trials and tribulations over the last 4 months, I have found if I want to remain medication free and control my Type 2 diabetes (Which I do) I have to be very vigilant where the carbs are concerned, and the last time I had bread was at my daughters Valedicts dinner in September, and honestly I don't miss it, my daughter and my friend are both ditching the carbs at the moment, which I think is highly commendable, everyone loves bread but bread doesn't love everyone back! I care more about my health than I do about the few minutes that the carbs actually taste good, once you have eaten (potato, bread, pasta or rice to name a few) I feel heavy and tired, and you will notice most people, like to have a nanny nap after a carb loaded meal. In actual fact I don't feel like I have deprived myself of a whole food group I feel like I have gained a better insight into the fuel that my body prefers and runs better on recently I have noticed that if I feel the mid afternoon slump coming on, I have a handful of nuts and within minutes I feel good and find I don't need the once needed nanny nap. So back to Christmas, I would be happy to serve everyone up a large chilled vegetable juice for lunch but the whinging would be deafening ha ha, but I have been thinking and planning what to have for a few weeks now, watching some cooking shows for some inspiration and trying out a few new recipes, this afternoon i am going to give the Chocolate mousse a test run, Terri says "she likes chocolate mousse", and because this is Australia and no sight of snow anywhere on Christmas day, we will be having a cold lunch with a seafood theme, at least if you have lots of prawns and other assorted seafood it will feel like your eating like a king, maybe not as much as old Henry but Christmas lunch has to be special or what is the point? One of the things that put a smile on my face this week was the news that... The Heart Tick on it's way out What started with good intentions 26 years ago became corrupted by commercial dollars and bad information. The Heart Foundation has had increasing pressure upon it to get rid of a flawed system that had way too much sugar and carbohydrate allowance. The Canadian Heart Foundation led the way earlier this year with scrapping the heart tick program and Australian lagged behind. I would like to say it's good news around but there is a recommendation to adopt the star rating system, recommended by the food industry. I think we are moving out of the pot and into the fire! Look at signing the petition against that flawed system that recommends margarine over butter and "Up and Go" as a breakfast for children. https://www.change.org/p/australian-government-scrap-the-healthy-star-food-rating-system?tk=2JdcN_WgCoN-qigdqAGs4xZHObi7GtQCH_6OZvtKN8M&utm_source=petition_update&utm_medium=email Now we need to get rid of the other commercial dollar generated symbol "LOW Gi" which foods like Nutella and Milo claim to be, which I have said before makes a mockery of the whole low Gi concept, I know we are all smarter than the mind altering advertising of the greedy money grabbing companies that push their products on to you the consumer, without a care for your health and well being coming into the equation, worse still is that the products are aimed towards kids! if we stop buying these products they will have no choice but to stop making them! or will they just change the label and the claim to being healthy? they have done it before, we need to be one step ahead of these marketing pros.
That is my rant for today, keep on keeping on ! So I haven't written anything here for a couple of days and contrary to the title of today's blog there isn't any real breaking news on Juicing, that I can tell you except... We had our first juice yesterday using some of our home grown silver beet, and it was beautiful, clean crisp and fresh and it tasted good too, no pesticides or cold storage damage (has anyone else noticed the celery lately not looking the best) I can hardly wait for the rest of the veges to take off, ("straight in my basket") I am proud of all the hard work Andrew has put into our garden. I heard from my cousin the other day that her son and daughter in-law have been juicing since watching the movie "fat sick and nearly dead" and she says he has never looked better, and without seeing him I know from my own results how true this is, I have heard a few people say that when they tried the juicing they gained weight instead of losing weight, and I think a certain amount of common sense is still needed, number one rule is "don't over do the fruit content of your juice!" this can make or break your success, fruit contains a lot of Fructose (sugar) and if you have been keeping up with all the latest information "Sugar is Poison" I tell most people who ask, to make sure you have 80% of your juice as vegetable, this looks like this (celery, Kale, cucumber, spinach + 1 green apple) that is 4 veg 1 fruit. My favourite juices these days are the ones that have 6 or more green veg and lemon, lime and ginger, it is known as a mean green, but you have to vary them, so you don't lose interest and don't be afraid to chuck in a veg you have never eaten before or even a veg that you wouldn't think would taste good as a juice, I threw in a couple of sweet potatoes last week and yes it was sweet, and a little floury but it was a nice change. After years and years of dieting and counting calories, I refuse to count calories now and as Dr Robert Lustig says not all calories are equal, but basically if you eat less you will lose weight, that is why juice fasting is perfect for losing weight especially if you stick to the number one rule! if you have 3-4 juices a day with at least 4 veg and 1 fruit, you would be consuming less calories than if you had your 3 meals a day, and the bonus is that your body is absorbing all the nutrients from the veg so instead of feeling like you are on a diet and feeling deprived you feel the opposite . I have not yet heard of any unsuccessful juice fasting episodes, but if you have one feel free to share, I think everyone needs the pro's and con's so they can make an informed decision. Another close friend of mine told me this week that she gave up drinking Coke and eating lollies and has lost 8 kilo's I think that is fantastic, it just goes to show that you only have to make small changes to start to get results, and not trying to take anything away from her success and great efforts to change some of her habits, I had to let her know that although she has switched from a bourbon and coke to a gin and tonic, the tonic water has "Sugar!" frightening I know that even the things we don't think have sugar, so we don't even look at the label, yep it has sugar! so always check labels, and the good news, for my friend is that there is a diet tonic water. I am always inspired by people who take control of their diet and health, at least they are having a go, I am so proud of my friend and my daughter who is giving the the low carb way a go, and also having a juice or two daily to increase her nutrient intake, so hard for the young ones who don't have weight or health issues to actually make a change to their lifestyle but why wait till you have a problem, prevention is better than cure, right? on the other side of the equation, I shake my head with dismay at the people who have all the information on sugar and the harm it will do to your body and your overall health, but don't make any changes at all and worse of all is that some of these people are making the food choices for their kids, knowing that there is too much sugar in processed foods, I watched a show on the BBC this morning of a Doctor that helped a woman reverse her Type 2 diabetes and her family's weight problems, this family were eating Macca's 5 nights a week and not just a happy meal (although there is nothing happy about any Maccas meals) but 2-3 burgers each large chips and jumbo coke each! I am not surprised that they all had weight issues but was a little surprised they didn't all have diabetes, anyway one thing the doctor said when checking their cupboards for sugar content in foods was " if it has more than 5 ingredients don't eat it" I have heard this before and I try to enforce this on my daughter when she says "it hasn't go much sugar" and when I look at the ingredients my answer is "it hasn't got much food either" meaning half the ingredients are either numbers or names of stuff not identified as food. I have to admit up until about 4 years ago I never looked at the labels and 80% of my grocery shop was processed foods, I always looked for the specials and bought the cheapest products, which turned out to be the most expensive as it cost me my health, trips to the doctors and the cost of medications is not cheap either, since I started the juicing 90% of my total shopping is fruit and veg, 10 % processed foods the grocery bill is cheaper but I have to shop more often (at least until the rest of our veges grow) I am not on any medications and I haven't been to the doctors since September and I read every label, I am not a hero I just take my health seriously, you only get one life and I nearly ruined mine. So who do you trust to give you the advice you need? I heard that another "non professional" has appeared on the morning show saying "eating fat will go straight to your bottom" honestly where has this guy been? has he been living under a rock, it has taken in excess of 30 years to put the misconception right about "Saturated Fats" being the cause of heart attacks, and obesity, which was all down to Ancel Keys who falsified his world wide study on saturated fats and the likelihood of having a heart attack! he really did a number on the world that is for sure, because even though the cat is out of the bag, and the true studies have been done "Fat does not make you Fat" people are still scared that eating real butter and leaving the fat on you meat will cause a heart attack! If you haven't heard yet or you have been living under the same rock with "mister non professional" it is Sugar that is making you FAT! and Canola, Vegetable, Rice Bran and the other polyunsaturates that are causing the inflammation and in turn causing the heart attacks and strokes, and guess what these products are pushed by the professionals such as GP's, Diabetes Association of Australia, and even the Heart Foundation, it is a vicious cycle and it has nothing to do with your health and everything to do with "MONEY" Here is how I think the cycle works, Sugar and Vegetable oils are cheap! the big companies such as Coke, Kelloggs and Nestle' (just to name 3) put loads of sugar and Vegetable oil in all their products and make huge profits, people consume these products, get sick, go to the doctor, get medicine to fix their illness, Pharmaceuticals, prop the GP's up (lets face it they work long hours) Pharmaceutical companies make heaps of profits, Coke, Kellogg's and Nestle' donate a tiny amount of their profits in to building new hospital wings to ease their guilty conscience. and what it boils down to is the people that are making you sicker are getting richer doing so it has nothing to do with making you better, there is no MONEY in that! I myself have lost so much faith in the "professionals" for their advice on my health, especially the NDSS (Australian Diabetic Association) although all the recent studies have shown that Carbs, Not Saturated Fats elevate the Blood Glucose Levels, they are still advocating "Low fat" (full of sugar) and complex carbs in your diet, and don't get me started about the low Gi sticker on selected "big company products" don't be fooled they pay for that sticker, and they pay for the Heart Associations tick of approval stickers too, don't forget it is all about MONEY! I still see my same doctor, although I make up my own mind as to whether to take his advice (or the pills) but I still need to have check ups and blood tests done so he serves a purpose and he is a nice bloke too, always listens to what I have to say. But in the last two or more years the people I trust for health advice are not even in the business of health? they are just regular Joe's and actually Joe Cross is one of them, but my other Guru (if you want) is David Gillespie (no not our local MP) but a lawyer and an overweight father of 5 that wanted to be around for his kids, wrote a book called "Sweet Poison" but he didn't just write the book he tested his theories on himself and got his health back and then wrote about it, to share his findings with the world, and I am so glad he did. And I am a disciple of Joe Cross's another bloke that wanted to fix his health issues and did and shared it with the world, through his documentary movie Fat Sick and Nearly Dead I would love to know if any of my readers haven't watched this movie yet? it is a real eye opener. I follow a lot of other people as well and the majority of these are professionals, one who wrote a book 20 years ago and now says he was wrong! that was Tim Noakes, it takes a big person to to admit they had it all wrong and risk their credibility, but it is people that are not afraid to say they got it wrong, that I trust the most, another professional that I read, is Dr Mercola, he admits when he was doing his internship he took handouts from the pharmaceutical companies but now advises to heal ourselves with real food, and the people that don't just write about the results tested on a hand picked subjects but they are the subject and test it on themselves before writing about it. And finally as they say "the proof is in the pudding" I am less of a pudding now but proof none the less that you can get off the vicious cycle, start to eat real food ditch the sugar and the processed crap containing vegetable oils, and go low carb for the added benefits to your health, and weight and Juice your greens! Who do you trust? watch David talk about the "Toxic Oils" it is a little scary but worth thinking about before your next shopping trip. |
