Well it was the season to be silly and usually we eat and drink everything that isn't nailed down, but to prove to myself that I have found a WOE that is sustainable, I wanted to get through Christmas still have an enjoyable time with my family and still be in control of my health. I am happy to say that it wasn't hard at all, I was still able to enjoy a few alcoholic beverages, with the help of Sugar Free Cruisers, (only sold at one place here in Taree so when they are out I am out!) but the bonus is, now that I am on Keto, I need less alcohol than I did before to get happy ha ha, My daughter Crystal Humphreys and her husband Shawn made a lovely baked lunch of Chicken and Pork, and the potatoes looked amazing, but I really didn't desire them at all, I had meat and green veg and was happy with that. I had previously made desserts for everyone Sugar Free of course for the family and Keto for Andrew and I, so all in all we didn't miss out on anything and remained Keto for the silly season. Ok so that was Christmas and now we are halfway through January, I haven't lost anymore weight since my original loss of 5.4kg, it has been fluctuating, going up and down like a yoyo, but that is ok I have been reading up on stalling weight loss and I am confident it will start up again. I have a new Guru, his name is Dr Ken D Berry, I posted something from him last blog, and since then I have been watching all his videos, he helped me out with the do's and don'ts of Magnesium, also by watching his videos I have had a few ah ha moments, especially with the high protein and low carb bars you can buy, do not believe it, there is hidden carbs in everything!. As I mentioned before, the Sugar Free Cruisers only available at one grog shop in Taree so they did in fact run out, I can still enjoy a drink by mixing Vodka and diet coke, but the truth is I am addicted to diet coke and although it doesn't have sugar in it, it is not good for you, so I am trying to wean myself off it (she says as she sips on a nice cold diet as she types ha ha) anyway I only just discovered Sprite Lite, don't think I have had a lemonade since I was 8, but it tastes really good with the Vodka and it works out a lot cheaper to mix my own still have a guilt free alcoholic drink that doesn't spoil my ketosis. I am always learning and that is the way it is meant to be, you hear a lot of criticism, from doubting Thomas's but really if you want to lose some weight and get healthy again, go keto. This week on Face book a fitness person Jillian Michaels said that Keto was bad for you, I didn't even bother to read what she had to say as my thoughts immediately was "how can eating real food be bad for you?"but what I did listen to was Dr Ken D Barry''s response to this woman, he wasn't nasty or anything (I might have been ha ha) but his explanation and defense of Keto is why he is my Guru!
