,Do you fall off the wagon accidentally (on purpose) feel guilty for a short while and then think, it was too hard being in control and sticking to your healthy eating regime? Or are you like me and choose to jump off the wagon for short periods, so you can allow yourself to eat, drink and be merry (have a holiday from your health regime)? Well that is what I do!, but I still have a certain amount of control, recently (the last 3 days) I went to Sydney to see the cricket and although I took fresh vegetable juices with me in an esky and went to Boost juice each morning for my "pure Eden" juice, I loosened the reigns and had some nice meals, I still chose to eat low carb, and not have rice, pasta, chips or bread, that has become the norm for me now anyway, knowing the affect on my Blood Glucose levels I would rather not eat the carbs, but it is relatively easy to stay low carb when staying in China Town, they tend to cook a bit healthier (be careful though, they love to add sugar)and what ever dish you order you just say "no rice or no noodles" at home when ordering meals at the club or cafe's it is "no chips" (they love to pile the chips on) I wish it was that easy to keep my weight down though, for a start when at home I try to keep all my eating within a 8 hour period (Intermittent Fasting) recommended by a lot of my health gurus, but this was another thing I disregarded "while in the holidaying spirit" I refrained from eating any junk foods at the "Spotless Stadium" and there was an abundance of it, thankfully it didn't smell good at all to me, so I wasn't tempted, but by the time we got back to Haymarket, it was nearly midnight and we thought we would have something to eat, and that is the good thing (or should I say bad thing) about China Town you can eat into the early hours.
All in all I have done a lot of eating and drinking in the last 3 days, that I estimate will take me 6 days to bounce back from, but I am so eager to get back to my juice only days and back on the wagon, Christmas day is only 6 days away but we will be having our Christmas on "Christmas Eve" this year, but as I am "Chief cook and bottle washer" I will be in control of not only what I eat but what everyone else eats. ["the Sugar Nazi is in control"] I am aiming at having the healthiest Christmas lunch we can, I have already let my hair down so I don't have to on Christmas day, and I have been looking at low carb, sugar free recipes for weeks now, and think the effort to prepare some real food and keeping it healthy will be more than worth it (that if it all goes to plan ha ha) and I wont have to jump off the wagon again. Thanks to the new subscribers to my blog, it is nice to know that I have people following my posts and if I have helped anyone in anyway to take control of their health by something that has worked for me, then I am happy to "keep on keeping on" . I think it's a bit unfair that because you've "let your hair down" and had a few meals that other people who have been sugar free/low carb for over a month can't let their hair down on Christmas Day. And id like to enjoy Christmas Day/eve, and have a bread roll without being made feel guilty about it!!

Thank you for your comment Terri, I can understand and I thought your plan was to be in control and then you would also let your hair down for Christmas, you are in control of what goes in your belly, I am only trying to give you support and guidance, if you want to have a bread roll with Christmas Dinner you go ahead, buy a bread roll and put your name on it ha ha, I have yet to see a Christmas dinner that had bread rolls with it anyway but you eat what you want, it is your Christmas too. if you ask real nice I may even be persuaded to make some garlic bread to go with Christmas dinner
