So who do you trust to give you the advice you need? I heard that another "non professional" has appeared on the morning show saying "eating fat will go straight to your bottom" honestly where has this guy been? has he been living under a rock, it has taken in excess of 30 years to put the misconception right about "Saturated Fats" being the cause of heart attacks, and obesity, which was all down to Ancel Keys who falsified his world wide study on saturated fats and the likelihood of having a heart attack! he really did a number on the world that is for sure, because even though the cat is out of the bag, and the true studies have been done "Fat does not make you Fat" people are still scared that eating real butter and leaving the fat on you meat will cause a heart attack! If you haven't heard yet or you have been living under the same rock with "mister non professional" it is Sugar that is making you FAT! and Canola, Vegetable, Rice Bran and the other polyunsaturates that are causing the inflammation and in turn causing the heart attacks and strokes, and guess what these products are pushed by the professionals such as GP's, Diabetes Association of Australia, and even the Heart Foundation, it is a vicious cycle and it has nothing to do with your health and everything to do with "MONEY" Here is how I think the cycle works, Sugar and Vegetable oils are cheap! the big companies such as Coke, Kelloggs and Nestle' (just to name 3) put loads of sugar and Vegetable oil in all their products and make huge profits, people consume these products, get sick, go to the doctor, get medicine to fix their illness, Pharmaceuticals, prop the GP's up (lets face it they work long hours) Pharmaceutical companies make heaps of profits, Coke, Kellogg's and Nestle' donate a tiny amount of their profits in to building new hospital wings to ease their guilty conscience. and what it boils down to is the people that are making you sicker are getting richer doing so it has nothing to do with making you better, there is no MONEY in that! I myself have lost so much faith in the "professionals" for their advice on my health, especially the NDSS (Australian Diabetic Association) although all the recent studies have shown that Carbs, Not Saturated Fats elevate the Blood Glucose Levels, they are still advocating "Low fat" (full of sugar) and complex carbs in your diet, and don't get me started about the low Gi sticker on selected "big company products" don't be fooled they pay for that sticker, and they pay for the Heart Associations tick of approval stickers too, don't forget it is all about MONEY! I still see my same doctor, although I make up my own mind as to whether to take his advice (or the pills) but I still need to have check ups and blood tests done so he serves a purpose and he is a nice bloke too, always listens to what I have to say. But in the last two or more years the people I trust for health advice are not even in the business of health? they are just regular Joe's and actually Joe Cross is one of them, but my other Guru (if you want) is David Gillespie (no not our local MP) but a lawyer and an overweight father of 5 that wanted to be around for his kids, wrote a book called "Sweet Poison" but he didn't just write the book he tested his theories on himself and got his health back and then wrote about it, to share his findings with the world, and I am so glad he did. And I am a disciple of Joe Cross's another bloke that wanted to fix his health issues and did and shared it with the world, through his documentary movie Fat Sick and Nearly Dead I would love to know if any of my readers haven't watched this movie yet? it is a real eye opener. I follow a lot of other people as well and the majority of these are professionals, one who wrote a book 20 years ago and now says he was wrong! that was Tim Noakes, it takes a big person to to admit they had it all wrong and risk their credibility, but it is people that are not afraid to say they got it wrong, that I trust the most, another professional that I read, is Dr Mercola, he admits when he was doing his internship he took handouts from the pharmaceutical companies but now advises to heal ourselves with real food, and the people that don't just write about the results tested on a hand picked subjects but they are the subject and test it on themselves before writing about it. And finally as they say "the proof is in the pudding" I am less of a pudding now but proof none the less that you can get off the vicious cycle, start to eat real food ditch the sugar and the processed crap containing vegetable oils, and go low carb for the added benefits to your health, and weight and Juice your greens! Who do you trust? watch David talk about the "Toxic Oils" it is a little scary but worth thinking about before your next shopping trip.
