Ok so who do yo believe? we have all heard that it is not good to follow trends and fad diets, and I am fed up hearing everything is ok in moderation, but why is the government and dietary associations like the "The Heart Association" and the "The Diabetes Association" just to name two, are the ones to set the bar? these people are more concerned with the financials than the health aspects of the community.
(Have you ever had a look at a Diabetes cookbook? go to a bookshop and pick up a Diabetes cookbook and have a look at the ingredients in the recipes, Sugar sugar, maple syrup, medjool Dates, honey, canola oil, vegetable oil, margarine, and not to mention low fat dairy, everything that is bad for you! put the book back on the shelf and get out as fast as you can and try and erase what you have just read, because you have just witnessed how to make a recipe for death if you have diabetes) The latest headline from Brits Government... "The dangers of a low-carb diet" on top of the "sugar tax" they are introducing, they now recommend that Brits eat more Carbohydrates (potatoes, bread, pasta) all the starchy carbs, (a bit of a contradiction! taxing one carb while encouraging to eat another carb)they also say to stick with the five serves of fruit and veg per day, they want you to cut back on red meat and dairy, so those farmers are obviously not lining the pockets of the government, the big processed food companies have got the backing of the government, after all the talk of the dangers of Sugar, they have now played a little switcharoo with the words to say that Low carb is dangerous and you should make sure you get your breakfast cereal and thick slices of toast everyday as well as big potato with your evening meals, so in a nation of growing obesity and health issues they are suggesting people eat more of the stuff that got them this way!!! Money is never going to be more important than your health because it is no good having the money if you don't live to enjoy it, and why am I banging on about the Brits anyway? well I think the saying is.. " if America sneezes we catch the cold? but we look up to England, we still are a British Monarchy, not that I think there is anything wrong with that, but come on! 2 steps forward and a giant leap backwards. So who are you going to believe? the government bodies that are more concerned about Money than health or the doctors and scientists that have called the bluff on the last 30-40 years of falsities? I chose to believe certain doctors that give you the reasoning behind the science and explain it in simple terms so you can understand, and the regular everyday Joe with nothing to gain by sharing the recipe of health and weight loss, I have become one of those people who have found the key to my own health and weight loss, firstly by following David Gillespie's advice on cutting sugar from your diet, and then discovering another everyday Joe, Joe Cross and how juicing your veges and drinking them can fill your body with the nutrients that are needed to not only help you to lose weight but to fix a number of health problems, I was able to lower my cholesterol control my Diabetes without medication that I had been on for over 10 years and lose weight, and I have heard people also call Juicing Vegetables a fad, but to me a fad is something that is not sustainable like cutting your calories or portion sizes so low that you are always hungry or not getting enough fibre so you end up ill from lack of going or lack of protein and you having major brain fog? I have found and it has been proven that you get all the protein and fibre as well as vitamins, and iron that your body needs, and there is a certain amount of carbs in fruit and vegetables so you are not cutting them out completely but cutting them way back so you can honestly say "LOW CARB". Low Carb is the opposite to dangerous, it is outright beneficial to your health and will control your diabetes even cure it, if you stick with it for life.
