April 2013 was my next visit to the doctor, to get the results of the most recent blood tests, at this stage I had lost about 7-8 kilo and was feeling a lot better in myself. My doctor was very happy with my results, he said "These are the best results you have had so far" I told him that it started by reading a book by David Gillespie, he was a bit confused as we have a doctor David Gillespie in Port Macquarie that is also our local member, when I explained it was a different David, he just said "what ever you are doing, keep doing it" I was still taking one Diabex 1000 tablet per day and because my blood pressure was up a little at my last 2 appointments the doctor convinced me to include 1/2 a blood pressure tablet a day also, I figured that 1 and a half tablets is better than 7 tablets a day, so we both parted happy with the results, I didn't know at the time but is would be 18 months before my next visit. I continued on my sugar free journey, following more Facebook groups, all claiming to be sugar free and offering advice and recipes, a few of them were only refined sugar free and still added "healthy sugars" the worse 3 offenders here are... 1. Honey over 40% Fructose 2. Medjool Dates 32% Fructose 3. Agave 43.83% Fructose it does make me angry to think people are posting recipes replacing sugar (the white refined sugars) with these so called health foods, people would think they are making healthier choices but in fact they are probably adding more fructose (the real poison) to their diet, I do on occasion question their choice of ingredients but they stand fast that they are offering a healthier choice, I still don't feel this is true and if you don't believe me, you should watch the movie "That Sugar Film" where Damon eats only healthy foods for 60 days, and the change in his health and weight was incredible, I am sure that for a lot of people who saw the film had their eyes opened real wide. below is the Sugar Song from "That Sugar Film" my number one favourite . During the film you will see little excerpts from some of my sugar free guru's, David Gillespie and Tim Noaks, another savior of mine is a Tasmanian Doctor, Gary Fettke who is fighting the fight to remove junk food and sugar filled foods from the Hospitals, where people go to get well not sicker, have you ever stopped to think about these fund raisers, that raise money for such a good cause such as cancer, by selling mars bars and other assorted chocolates, which has been proven now that "Sugar Feeds Cancer" ironic isn't it?
