You have all been told to watch your cholesterol and to keep it under 5. Some doctors actually threaten patients that if they don't lower their cholesterol levels, they will be forced to put them on a statin drug. So much for the ethical precepts of medicine and the Hippocratic Oath. My stance on the lipid hypothesis and on the 'cholesterol is bad' Forget the fact that statins are the most financially profitable drug in history. Forget the fact that cholesterol is actually the most important substance inside of your body besides water. Forget that all of your steroid hormones are made from cholesterol. Forget that every cell of your body is comprised of cholesterol for the integrity of their membranes. The entire medical orchestra surrounding cholesterol is a charade, a symphony of dis-information. Get out of the medical circus before you start taking the clowns in white suits too seriously. What you likely haven't been told by your doctor is that elevated insulin is one of the primary causes of heart disease as well as diabetes, osteoporosis, cancer, angina, elevated triglycerides and numerous other health conditions, and guess what Sugar elevates your insulin simple isn't it? Most people watched the show on ABC that uncovered the truth about the Statin drugs, but I had done a little research of my own, on the drugs in fact the video I watched about 18 months before the ABC show aired. Was titled Statin drugs and diabetes, I hope you will take the time to watch the video below, one of the last sentences that Dr Micheal Eades says is don't let your doctor bully you into taking Statin drugs for Cholesterol. Since 2013 I had been sugar free and only taking 1 and a half tablets per day, my blood tests had been good, I feel I was in total control of my health, people fall off the wagon, I choose to jump off from time to time and run alongside it so I can hop back on at will, I like to go out to concerts and special occasions and I like to have a few drinks on these occasions, and we all know that Alcohol is full of sugar, so that is why I am never off my wagon for long, so being in control I didn't think I needed to see the doctor as often, but when I ran out of my diabex I thought I better drop in have some blood tests and get a new script. That was earlier this year and the doctor was disappointed I hadn't been to see him for 18 months, my diabetes control was OK, but he said my Cholesterol was up, and immediately reached for his script pad, we then had a discussion on the Statin drugs, he knew my stance on them as we had the conversation previously, he said he had a new non statin drug that would lower my cholesterol, I wanted to know if my bad cholesterol was the small particles or the large fluffy type as I had watched the movie the cereal killers where the guy lived on High Fat low carb and was doing great until his bad cholesterol had elevated, but further tests showed that his was big fluffy and this is OK, but my doctor was adamant that it didn't matter, bad is bad! I wasn't happy but didn't want to argue with him so I took the script, but to be honest I wasn't going to take it until I had done some research, which will lead me to my next post which will be the beginning of the juicing crusade.
